THE IMPACT

1488 Lives Touched
Revitalized Government Health Centre in Lodhruva, Jaisalmer, through a community-led initiative, bringing healthcare access to 1488 villagers in four remote villages. The center, non-operational for seven years, now serves Lodhruva, Chundi, Tejwa, and Bhilon Ki Dhani communities.
A tourist village known for ancient temples is a remote village located 15 km away from the District Hospital Jaisalmer and 25 km away from the Primary Health Centre. The village has limited accessibility to public transport. The healthcare centre, serving a population of three villages and one hamlet (Lodhruva, Chundi, Tejwa, Bhilon Ki Dhani) had been non-operational for the past seven years with only one healthcare worker. A community-led intervention by 20 volunteers led to the centre resuming its operations.
