Transformed Jaisalmer's COVID Landscape

In just 40 days, I Love Jaisalmer, in collaboration with partners, drove down COVID-positive cases from 37% to almost 0. Overcoming challenges in a vast area of 39,000 sq km with scattered populations, the initiative provided critical aid, including 103 oxygen concentrators sent to 43 remote locations and the installation of a crucial Oxygen Plant at the Sub-District Hospital in Pokhran, Jaisalmer.

Widespread Oxygen Relief

Distributed 103 oxygen concentrators to 43 remote locations in Jaisalmer, Jaipur, Nagour, and Sikar. This widespread effort ensured critical care support where it was needed the most, contributing to the drastic reduction in COVID-positive patients.

Oxygen Plant Empowerment

Installed an Oxygen Plant (SP093-30, installed capacity 20-30Nm3/H) at the Sub-District Hospital in Pokhran, Jaisalmer. This strategic move provided dedicated support to oxygen beds and ventilators, establishing a self-reliant medical infrastructure in the district, impacting a population of 28,457.

Comprehensive Community Reach

Aided 530+ villages, 50 health centers in a 150km radius in Jaisalmer. Distributed ration kits to 630 families, provided 80 oxygen cylinders to Jaisalmer's District Administration, 40 to Mahila Chikitsalya Covid Care Hospital in Jaipur, and supplied essential medical resources, including stretchers, across health centers.

Jaisalmer spans over 39,000 sq km and has a scattered population. With the onset of the COVID-19 second wave, the region was in urgent need of oxygen to treat the alarming rise of critical cases. Every third person was testing positive and the rural health facility was inadequate. We initiated a campaign providing immediate COVID relief aid to the people. The foundation sent 103 oxygen concentrators to 43 remote locations in Jaisalmer and other parts of Rajasthan (Jaipur, Nagour, Sikar) where they were needed the most. We successfully installed an Oxygen Plant at the Community Health Centre in Pokhran. The plant provided dedicated support to oxygen beds and ventilators at the health centre. This initiative will develop a self-reliant medical infrastructure in the district.
