SpiceJet was the only airline operator in the city and a suspension of their operations would put Jaisalmer in a critical situation. I Love Jaisalmer conceptualised and launched India’s first Citizen-Airline Partnership and brought together the citizens of Jaisalmer and District Administration to help SpiceJet cover their risk on the Jaisalmer route and continue operations. The crowd pooled resources and signed an MoU that ensured flight connectivity to Jaisalmer.
